So now ends my first ever Olympic Winter Games competition, I would be lying if I said it did not change me as an athlete and a person. I believe I have gained much knowledge and experience looking forward towards the next four years. I cannot thank my friends, family, and supporters enough for all the excitement and positive energy throughout my competition.  Olympic medal or not I feel like I am truly the winner because of all of you. 

Also...should probably get a mouthguard that doesn't look like I only have one tooth...

So todays the big day! Run 1-2 start February 8th 6:30pm local time. (7.30 am Calgary time)

Run 3-4 start February 9th at 6:30pm Russia time.

Two days to go 

So we begin our first day of training bright and early tomorrow.

Arrived in Latvia for the final world cup of the season and getting a taste of winter, which we seemed to have avoided most of the year!

After a fairly rough week of training I did not manage to qualify for the world cup tomorrow here in Altenberg. Although staying positive and ready for the next and final world cup of the season in Sigulda, Latvia!

Another 20th place in Königssee last weekend! Happy with the result based on the runs I had, which were pretty rough. Now in Altenberg, Germany for the week training.

Finished 12th place in todays nations cup race after a fairly rough run. Although I did qualify for the race here in Koënigssee on Sunday!

So here we go again! After a wonderful christmas break I am heading back over to Berchtesgaden, Germany today. To start training for the 6th world cup of the season.

Officially on the Canadian Olympic team for Sochi 2014!!!

Another 19th in todays race! Runs were a little rough but managed to pull off another top 20. Now back to Calgary tomorrow for christmas holidays, then off to Germany again on the 27th. Happy holidays to everyone!

6th place finish in qualifying yesterday, so I will be racing this saturday here in Park City. Will try and find a link to watch the race!

Training has been going a little rough here in Park City, but I am hoping to work out the kinks before tomorrow's qualification race tomorrow!

19th place in yesterdays race!! A career best for me, couldn't be more excited about breaking the top 20. Now ranked 27th overall, and hopefully keep climbing the ladder in next weeks race in Park City, Utah. Heading down there bright and early tomorrow morning.

Came 11th in nations cup today! The run was okay but I think I can pick up some more speed in tomorrows race here in Whistler. There will be live coverage of the race on CBC sports, live online stream. Race starts at 5:30pm local time.

Finished 23rd during Saturdays race in Winterberg! Same result as last world cup after a fairly good run! Back in Calgary for the night, then off to Whistler in the morning for the next world cup. Good to be home in Canada!

Nations cup today went well which means I will be racing in my second world cup ever tomorrow here in Winterberg. Will keep you updated on a link to watch the race when I find one!

First runs in Winterberg are going pretty well, getting a good feel for the track! Taking the last three runs today before the qualifying race tomorrow.

Officially finished up the week here in Igls, Austria. Ended up finishing 23rd place in my first ever Sr. World Cup, after two fairly decent runs.  Tomorrow morning we're heading up to Winterberg, Germany for the third race of the season.
